THE MARTIN RETAIL PROPERTIES B.V., founded by Gert-Jan de Rooij, is an independent commercial real estate advisory & strategic advisor. With more than 35 years in the (inter)national retail real estate market, acquired from multinationals/companies such as Vendex International, DTZ Zadelhoff, Zeeman and A.S. Watson Health & Beauty Continental Europe, the company has now established itself as an expert player in this sector. In his role as Directeur Real Estate Gert-Jan de Rooij has worked on various real estate projects and shopping areas in various countries, from concept phase to final transaction or realization. He was responsible for the management, expansion and asset management of various real estate portfolios. He also successfully set up and managed various departments. Moreover, he was part of management teams, where he could share strategic insights for new strategies, markets and concepts. He has advised CEOs and MDs on their decisions regarding expansion and disposal real estate strategies.
